New student checklist
Welcome to RMIT and to the English for University (EU) program in the School of English & University Pathways (SEUP)!
Please follow the three steps below. We recommend doing this as soon as you receive the email from SEUP admin with details about your course so you are ready to study on Day 1.
Step 1: Setting up your RMIT account
Student ID, password, and email address
You’ll use your student ID and RMIT email addressto access various RMIT systems, including myRMIT - your student self-service platform.

Your student ID (username) is the letter ‘s’ followed by your student number. You’ll find your student number in the email: [IMPORTANT] Course information and new student checklist. Example: If your student number is 3123456, then your RMIT ID would be s3123456.

Your RMIT email address is your student number followed by @rmit.edu.vn. Example: If your student ID is s3123456, your RMIT email address is s3123456@rmit.edu.vn
Step 2: RMIT Student ID Card
RMIT ID cards are required to access campus and must be worn and visible when on campus. Please request your ID card by following the steps below before your first day of class:

Log in to myRMIT link: www.rmit.edu.vn/students/my-studies/myrmit, using your RMIT Student ID and password.

Submit your student ID card application via the Submit Request tile in myRMIT, including a colour passport-style photo.

Bring your national ID card or passport to campus and collect your ID card.

Step 3: Update Personal Details on myRMIT
Please update your personal information on the Personal Detail tile on myRMIT:

Personal Details – you can view your personal details such as student ID, date of birth, gender and update your preferred name.

Contact Details – you can add or update your phone number(s) and personal e-mail address(es).

Addresses – you can add or update your address(es).

Emergency Contacts – you can add or update your emergency contact(s).

Privacy Release (Third Party Access) – you can add, update, or remove third party permission to access academic or financial. You must be over 18 years to amend Privacy Release data.
There are some fields that you will not be able to amend via self-service, like your primary name, national ID, date of birth, or study visa. If these are incorrect, please submit the relevant form via the myRMIT Submit Request tile and provide relevant supporting documents.

Step 4: Join SEUP Welcome Events
As a new student, you will be invited to induction activities to help you learn about SEUP and RMIT:

Online Orientation – This takes place the week before the term starts. At this orientation you will find out what to expect on day 1, learn to use the online tools used for your classes, and get tips on how to be successful in your studies.

New Student Welcome Lunch – The welcome lunch takes place in the first week of your term where you will learn about services available to you. You will have a chance to meet other students and win prizes.
