"Future Me" soft skills workshops

Purposeful use of technology

Students' use of technology will be facilitated on the English for Teens course through interaction with online workbooks, and digital presentation and poster tools, such as Sway and Google Slides. Digital teaching tools, such as Quizlet and Kahoot are used by teachers in class to engage and motivate learners.

Project-based learning & assessment

Students will work together on projects during the course. They are assessed on the development process, and final product, presentation or performance. The final product may consist of student-produced videos, websites, posters and/or presentations.

Developing thinking and academic skills for university

In addition to developing their English skills, students will be introduced to valuable thinking and academic skills to prepare them for their future higher education:

  • Research and presentation skills.

  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Leadership and teamwork skills.

  • Academic integrity awareness and avoiding plagiarism.

3 free "Future Me" workshops per module

The "Future Me" workshop series is professionally designed for soft skill development. The workshops are targeted at development within 3 main themes:

  • Soft skills for life.

  • Personal development.

  • Preparation for the future.

Modern international university environment

​Student can access:
The University’s modern library with thousands of books on a wide range of disciplines. It also has many graded readers which are designed for language learners.

Ready for IELTS & international university

The eight levels of the English for Teens Program are approximately equivalent to IELTS bands. From the Advanced level, students will begin focusing on IELTS test preparation and using an IELTS textbook. They will also complete one IELTS mock exam per module.
